APM CNC Triplet 130mm F9.25 Apochromat Refractor

The APM - LZOS 130mm F9.25 CNC Super Planetary triplet is a no compromise Apochromat refractor of the highest possible optical and mechanical specification. This instrument was produced in response to demand for the ultimate Super Planetary 5" refractor with unmatched optical quality. The lightweight and compact CNC tube and 3.5" Starlight Instruments focuser utilizing a 1:10 fine focus is a superb and powerful visual telescope and possesses unbeatable optical quality and colour correction for extreme powers for planetary observing and high resolution observing.

There is no similar quality in the 5" aperture range on the market. These tubes are made in Germany with non-compromising mechanical quality. The dew cap slides smoothly over the tube without producing any paint scratches. The focuser is a full 3.5" size and rotates smoothly and with zero image shift. This zero shift rotation is very important when your camera has already achieved its best focus and you would like to rotate it to the best position.

The included finder bracket has a quick exchange style screw system and is mounted on the rotatable focuser, which allows focuser rotation to position the finder scope to the most comfortable observing position. The focuser comes with large anodized focuser knobs and moves extremely smoothly as would be expected from the world famous Starlight Instruments 3.5" Feathertouch.

Our APM Apochromats have been designed by the legendary and world famous optical designer TMB optical and hand finished by LZOS to specifications not possible with machine finished optics.
