This is the largest precision alt az mount we know of and is capable of holding an 8" refractor or even a 14" SCT with it's enormous 50kg weight capacity. Made from the finest materials in Germany and machined to extremely tight tolerances the mount moves in any direction very smoothly. The Maxload mount is supplied as a head only with the stainless steel counterweight shaft, we can supply a variety of tripod options and counterweights in stainless steel.
The mount and counterweight shaft weigh 11kg without any counterweights added and with a base diameter of 180mm this serious mount offers the maximum stability possible.
