APM Triplet 115mm F7 Apochromat Refractor

The APM - LZOS 115mm triplet is a no compromise Apochromat refractor of the highest possible optical and mechanical specification. This LW photo version has the new Starlight instruments 2.5" focuser for added imaging versatility. The innovative sliding draw tube quick focusing a sliding draw tube with with 105 mm travel and 90 mm clear inside diameter attached 2,5" Feather Touch focuser which moves into the main tube on new teflon straps and secures with a locking hand screw preventing any tilt in the tube.


This new combination allow you to use any binoviewer with any diagonal mirror without optical path correctors and still achieve focus. This new ultracompact and lightweight model is extremely portable. It allows the use of 2" wide field eyepieces maximum FOV of 3.4 degrees. Screw into your 2" low power eyepiece a 2" nebula filter and see the North America Nebula with contrast as never before. This 115mm Apo will perform better than any 4" refractor on the market but is just as portable. Our APM Apochromats have been designed by the legendary and world famous optical designer TMB optical and hand finished by LZOS to specifications not possible with machine finished optics.

The optics possess such exceptional chromatic and spherical correction that, in excellent seeing, you'll be able to push magnification beyond traditional extremes for planetary and double star observing with the greatest of contrast and resolution. For imaging we recommend, based on our customers experiences, use of a TeleVue 0.80x field flattener/reducer for best edge performance.
