APM Triplet 130mm F9.25 Apochromat Refractor

The APM - LZOS 130mm F9.25 Super Planetary triplet is a no compromise Apochromat refractor of the highest possible optical and mechanical specification.

This instrument was produced in response to demand for the ultimate Super Planetary 5" refractor with unmatched optical quality. Still portable and light enough to be used on the HEQ5 or Losmandy G8 this fine 5" instrument is a practical choice for home or field use. This LW photo version has the new Starlight instruments 2.5" focuser for added imaging versatility.

The innovative sliding draw tube quick focusing a sliding draw tube with with 105 mm travel and 90 mm clear inside diameter attached 2,5" Feather Touch focuser which moves into the main tube on new teflon straps and secures with a locking hand screw preventing any tilt in the tube.


This new combination allow you to use any binoviewer with any diagonal mirror without optical path correctors and still achieve focus. This new and lightweight model is extremely portable. There is no other Apochromat like this available Today with colour correction indistinguishable from a reflective optic and optical quality so high making this the ultimate Planetary 5" refractor. Screw into your 2" low power eyepiece a 2" nebula filter and see the North America Nebula with contrast as never before. This 130mm Apo is unique with over 5" of aperture at F9.25 making a truly superb visual instrument. Our APM Apochromats have been designed by the legendary and world famous optical designer TMB optical and hand finished by LZOS to specifications not possible with machine finished optics.

The optics possess such exceptional chromatic and spherical correction that, in excellent seeing, you'll be able to push magnification beyond traditional extremes for planetary and double star observing with the greatest of contrast and resolution.
