This Celestron 5mw green laser pointer with telescope mounting hardware fits most Celestron / Synta / Orion USA finder dovetails and SCT's making aiming your scope at celestial objects simple. Just move your scope until the laser beam points at the desired object in the night sky and your scope is automatically lined up on the object for observations through the telescope eyepiece. The 5mw green laser is set to the maximum power for public use in the UK and provides a green line projecting to over 13,000 ft into the night sky. The wavelength of this high quality green laser is ideally suited to the human eye making it easily visible as a useful sky pointer for astronomical object location.
The laser pointer can be quickly removed from the scope to use as a hand-held star pointer for showing your friends or family members the location of celestial objects in the night sky.
