Celestron Piggyback Camera Mount For SCT

The Celestron piggyback mount is a great accessory for all observers interested in deep sky astro imaging. This mount allows you to securely attach your DSLR (digital SLR camera), or point and shoot digital camera with a lens attached to the rear cell of the Celestron SCT telescopes. You can then take long exposure wide field images while your NexStar tracks across the sky to follow the motion of the stars. A recommended way to start out astro imaging and get great wide field images of the night sky without complicated techniques or specialist equipment.

The Piggyback adapter mounts to the rear cell of all Celestron 5, 6, 8, 11, 9.25 and 11-inch Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes.

Mounting holes in the base of the piggyback allow it to be installed in pre-drilled threaded holes in the rear cell of any of the above Celestron telescopes, using the supplied mounting hardware. The camera platform of the piggyback has a standard 1/4" bolt with a hand tighten knob in the platform to hold your camera in place.
