SkyScout Connect Allows the SkyScout Personal Planetarium to be connected directly to Celestron computerised telescopes. Locate any object in the SkyScout database and your computerised telescope will slew to the same object with a touch of a button.
Once you’ve located or identified an object in the SkyScout database simply push the button the SkyScout slews your telescope to that object so you can observe it while your Celestron scope tracks the object for you. In addition the SkyScout Connect adds GPS capabilities to any compatible Celestron computerised telescope that doesn’t already have GPS built in making telescope set up and alignment even easier.
The SkyScout Connect works with any Celestron SLT, NexStar SE, Advanced Series, CPC, and CGE telescope. It consists of a cradle with onboard electronics that holds your telescope’s NexStar hand controller and is attached to your scope’s tripod leg by a supplied Velcro strap. Your NexStar hand control and SkyScout are connected up to the SkyScout Connect cradle using the supplied cables. The NexStar hand control can be operated while mounted in the SkyScout Connect cradle or can be hand-held at the end of its coiled cord as normally.
