Celestron USB To RS232 Converter Kit

Ref: 18775

This adapter allows you to connect your Celestron NexStar, GPS, CPC, or CGE computerised telescope to your PC through a high speed USB port, rather than through a slower serial port. This is particularly useful with the laptop computers that most astronomers use to control their telescopes in the field, as laptops rarely have serial sockets.

The USB adapter includes a short (29") cable with a serial connector at one end and a USB connector at the other. The serial end of the USB cable is designed to mate with the serial connector on the Celestron programming cable and NexStar, the USB end of the cable plugs into your PC.

Geniune Celestron Product

A CD-ROM is included that contains the necessary software program your computer needs to convert the serial signals to and from the scope to USB format signals that the computer and computer control programs can recognize.

Recommended for use with our RS-232 cable (93920) and our Programming Cable (93922) which both feature serial connectors.

Please note: Drivers are not yet avaiable for Windows 7
