Versatile Optics Day or Night
This 80mm (3.1") refracting type telescope features a focal length of 400mm (f/5) with multi-coated optics for great image brightness. The ETX-80 has several unique and useful standard features including an internal flip function Barlow lens to increase the magnification of the eyepiece in use, and an internal flip mirror for mounting a camera at the rear of the telescope.
Autostar Handset - knows the night sky
The Meade AutoStar computer controller automatically guides your telescope to over 1400 celestial objects. View planets, stars, galaxies, and nebulas all at the push of a button. Don't know what to see on a particular night? Don't worry. Just select the Tonight's Best tour and AutoStar will automatically take you on a guided tour of the best planets, stars, nebulas and other objects out that particular night. Want to know more about what you're looking at? The backlit LCD display teaches you about what you're observing in the night sky with details like distance, temperature, mass, and useful information.
