The 20x magnification is suited to both astronomical use and long distance terrestrial work making these an extremely versatile high specification binocular. At 80mm aperture the light collecting area is enough to resolve fine detail day or night. The exit pupil which is the relationship between aperture and magnification is 4mm, ideal for the adult human eye to utilise all the incoming light. With a generous field of view spanning several full moon diameters objects far too large for telescopes can be revealed in all their glory.

Made from a lightweight but strong composite material which is rubber coated these binoculars are easy to use and handle and have fold down rubber eyecups for comfort whether you need to wear spectacles or not. The large centre focus wheel is easy to use and there is diopter and interpupilery adjustment allowing any observer to use these giant binoculars in comfort. A tripod is recommended for this large binocular and included is superb balance bar system with fully adjustable balance and a sturdy hand tightening knob designed for easy use with gloved hands or in cold weather, this design also greatly adds to the strength of the binoculars. Simply thread the bar system straight to any standard photo type tripod for comfort and stability, no extra adaptors required.
