Limited Availability - This award winning large aperture high quality Telescope will provide stunning views of Solar system objects along with Galaxies, Nebulae and clusters and is supplied on the superb and stable EQ5 equatorial mount.Telescopes in this aperture are regarded as serious instruments and significantly outperform smaller models and are for most the ultimate Telescope for use at home but still portable enough for field use.
The Sky-Watcher EXPLORER range are standard Newtonian reflectors of excellent quality and versatility, ranging in aperture from a respectable 130mm to an incredible light-gulping 300mm aperture, catering for astronomers of all levels. Whether your interest is Deep-Sky, the Moon and Planets, or a combination of both, the EXPLORER range offers excellent all round Diffraction-Limited performance.

SKY-WATCHER DELUXE MIRROR COATINGS
Most reflectors today usually have a coat of aluminium as the mirror surface and then an overcoat of silicon monoxide or silicon dioxide to protect it. Silicon dioxide produces a much more durable coat than silicon monoxide but requires specialized equipment to apply it and is therefore more expensive. Protection is needed, because in most reflectors, the mirror is open to the elements and deterioration of the reflective layer reduces the resolution of the telescope. ALL Sky-Watcher reflectors are Multi-Coated with Silicon Dioxide as standard for Optimum Durability and Long Term Performance.
All Sky-Watcher f/5 ('fast') Newtonian Reflectors and Dobsonian models feature High Quality Parabolic Primary Mirrors to eliminate spherical aberrations inherent in 'fast' focal length reflectors with spherical primary mirrors. The mirrors are parabolized to bring all the light rays to the same focal point to give sharp, constrasty images, which are full of detail.
The very sturdy EQ5 Equatorial mount provides excellent precision and stability and a host of other useful features for the serious astronomer. The mount rests firmly on a large, adjustable stainless steel pipe tripod with accessory tray. Supplied complete with a bubble level, latitude adjuster with micrometer scale and an azimuth polar-alignment adjuster. It also features engraved aluminium setting circles and manual slow motion tracking controls.
