A four inch refractor will always deliver consistently decent resolution and good contrast, even under average seeing conditions and the Explore Scientific AR102 is a great example of such a design. This telescope's classic air-spaced, crown-and-flint, doublet achromatic f/6.5 lens has a superior-class optical figure which will deliver amazing views at the eyepiece. This telescope is supplied with a 2" dual-speed Crayford-style focuser, a one-piece 2" star diagonal with 99% dielectric coatings, an 8x50mm non-illuminated straight-through finderscope with quick release bracket - and a cradle ring assembly with Vixen-style dovetail mount, compatible with a vast array of commercially available mounts.
