Product Description

A high quality Flat-Field 60mm F5.0 ED Quad APO Astrograph for astrophotography with mirrorless, DSLR cameras, or CMOS Astronomy cameras.

The quad element design features two ED (Extra Dispersion) elements, and will outperform any dedicated camera lens, even those costing many times the price. A separate reducer or field flattener is not required.

Dual ED optics for sharp star images free of "bloating" and astigmatism often present in faster quad designs, with excellent contrast, even with 3nm FWHM ultra narrowband filters.

The optimum camera sensor distance from the rear M48 thread is 59mm with full frame cameras. APS-C sensor cameras have approx. 10mm tolerance.

Features 4 Internal lens elements, two of which are ED glass for images completely free of colour-aberration and apochromatic levels of performance.
APS-C coverage compatible with Hypercam 26C and 26M / 2600 series cameras.
Improved dual-speed rack and pinion focuser with new type bearings for accuracy and minimal flex for astro imaging. Fully compatible with Altair AAF Motor Focuser module, Pegasus Focuscube, and others. A direct drive link to the rack and pinion spindle allows for better accuracy. Focuser has M48 Male rear threads. Focuser travel is 20mm. Optimum sensor position is 59mm from the rear M48 thread for full-frame cameras.
360° Field rotator allowing easy framing.
A set of 4x rear collimation screws allow easier tilt-adjustment of the imaging-train, which can be done in real-time assisted by astro imaging software. So you can add cameras, filter wheels and OAGs with confidence.
Compact for travel - only 260mm length with dew-shield folded (315mm with dew-shield extended).
Included 250mm length Vixen format dovetail bar and top-handle with dual Vixen/Arca style dovetail profiles, enabling top mounting of a guidescope using the Altair TMS Quick Release Mini Vixen Arca compatible dovetail clamp (Product code: AAVIXCLAMP-BLUE).
