We’ve taken the proven and reliable Sky-Watcher AZ3 mount and carefully adapted it to create a purpose-built wedge platform, ideal for smart telescopes and star tracker mounts that require accurate polar alignment.

Ideal for Seestar S30 & S50 in EQ mode
This custom mount is compatible with most smart telescopes, and has been specifically tested with the ZWO Seestar S30 and S50 models. It also works extremely well with compact star trackers such as the Sky-Watcher Star Adventurer, iOptron SkyGuider, and Move Shoot Move Nomad, where precision alignment is critical for optimal tracking performance.

Unlike standard photographic tripods, this setup offers a stable, purpose-designed platform with both coarse and fine altitude and azimuth adjustment. The quick-adjustment feature allows for fast initial setup, while the fine, smooth controls enable accurate tuning of your polar alignment.

To improve stability even further, we recommend using the tripod legs in their fully retracted position whenever possible. Importantly, the design ensures the centre of gravity of your smart telescope is positioned directly over the centre of the tripod, significantly reducing the risk of tipping—especially useful for heavier or top-heavy setups.

The custom dovetail adapter and fine adjustment knobs are precision 3D printed in high-quality PETG. As with all 3D printed parts, minor surface variation is normal, but every unit is carefully quality-checked before dispatch.
