The Bresser 6" Reflector on the EXOS 1 offers the user a high-end observing experience without the pricetag. This classic short focal length Newtonian reflector has a more manageable OTA length than more traditional long-focal systems. Sitting on the firm Exos 1 equatorial mount with high quality steel tripod and accessory tray, this telescope boasts an illuminated 8x50mm Finderscope with reticule, a 26mm Super Plossl eyepiece and a compression-ring eyepiece holder with integral camera T-thread for simple DSLR astrophotography (with a camera-appropriate T-ring, available separately). Delivery is normally 2-3 business days with this product.
This telescope is one of the finer instruments that we class as beginner or starter telescopes and as such has a higher retail price than equivalent-sized systems in this class. Its 6-inch aperture offers a significant step-up in terms of light gathering power, when compared to 4.5 and 5-inch Newtonians. We consider this a good value system that will potentially last a user longer than some others on offer, due to its build quality and adaptability. If so desired, one can upgrade this system to either single or dual axis motor drives with a retro-fit kit, available separately.Specifications:Objective mirror diameter 150 mmFocal Length 750mm f/5Recommended Maximum Visual Power x250+Length of tube 690mmDiameter of tube 180mmWeight of tube 5.5kgTelescope Mounting Mechanical EXOS 1 with steel tripodMounting Base Net Weight 3.8kgTripod Net Weight 4.6 kg26 mm Super Plössl (giving a magnification of x29 with this system)Integrated 1 1/4" and T2 adapterAdapter for 2" EyepieceTube rings with dovetail mounting barHandle and Piggyback Camera mounting pointIlluminated 8x50 finderscopeAstronomy PC Software StellariumTelescope instructions, rotatable star map
