Product Description

A Lens Shade or Dew Cap is a tube, of approximately the same diameter as your telescope tube, designed to fit on the front end of the telescope to reduce the amount of dew that builds up on the corrector plate. It also serves as a Lens Shade by preventing stray light from falling on the corrector plate, which greatly improves contrast.

Made from a lightweight flexible material with felt lining to prevent stray light this dual fit dew shield will fit all Celestron 6" & 8" SCT telescopes including the NexStar 6SE, StarSense Explorer 6" SCT, AVX 8", NexStar 8SE, Evolution 6" & 8" and CPC800. Also suitable for some Meade 8" SCT's.

Our delivery charge is £5.95* fully insured. Orders received before 2PM normally ship that business day. We also ship direct from our suppliers all fully tracked and insured.

We use UPS, DPD, DHL, APC, DX Express, ParcelForce and Royal Mail, we do not use budget couriers, we only ship to UK mainland addresses and do not ship to forwarding agents or PO boxes.

8/10 Fits Starsense Explorer DX 6” SCT It does keep the dew away - but to be honest I’m a complete newbie and have never used my brand new Telescope without it, so have nothing to compare it against.
