The Explore Scientific Neutral Density Moon Filter ND-09 2" is filter that reduces the amount of light and brightness when viewing the moon and planets or indeed any bright object. A neutral density filter or ND filter is a filter that reduces or modifies the intensity of all wavelengths or colours of light equally (13% light transmission in this case), giving no changes in the hue of colour rendition. It can be a colourless (clear) or grey filter. The filter can also be used photographically and is particularly helpful when used in partnership with Herschel Wedges, such as the Lunt 2" Herschel Wedge.High quality cell with 2" (48mm) standard thread - ideal for lunar observation in 2" barrel eyepieces13% Light transmission
