Horizon 8115 2-Way Heavy Duty Tripod

Horizon 8115 2-Way Heavy Duty Tripod

Recommended for giant binoculars and spotting scopes up to 100mm apertures, perfect for 20x80 or 25x100 giant binoculars when used for astronomy, high enough for use standing up avoiding back strain or neck craning. Additional quick release plates are available (see related products below).

Extends to an impressive height - The tripod remains stable even when extended, due to a bracket that locked the legs into place We especially liked the way in which the adaptor plate was fitted into the mount, which is held in place by a sprung locking mechanism. Telescopes are expensive, so it’s worth making sure they are securely attached.”

Customer Reviews

A good buy, especially if you are tall!  I purchased this tripod for use with some binoculars. They are sturdy, but not too heavy to move or too bulky to store. The best feature for me is the height they extend to - I am 6ft 4" tall and I can use them binoculars on them without having to be bent over!   (22/02/2020) Mike - Wolverhampton

Excellent Service   I needed a tripod for my new heavy binoculars,I had already returned a tripod that I bought from elsewhere and had to return it as it was too flimsy Came onto this site and thought I would give it a go I was not disappointed in any way,a good solid made tripod, and delivered very quickly 5********   (24/01/2020) -

Great value for money.  I recently purchased some Helios 20x100 binoculars which weigh 2.6Kg. My light weight photography tripod couldn't cope! I read a few reviews for the Horizon tripod and decided to give it a go for 80. For the money it is fantastic. Study, well built, quality head and adjustment. Very happy with it!   (10/01/2020) Troy - Shropshire

Great tripod for binoculars  Bought for my new 25x70 skymaster binos. This is a tall and solid tripod, I am 6'00" and can use the binos standing upright with steady viewing within its range. Its very comfortable to use, 10 times better than my old travel tripod, and 50 times better than hand held.   (03/10/2019) Paul M - Kidlington

Brilliant customer service.  looking for a heavy duty tripod for a long. Done the highstreet stores. Sometimes travel distance to see tripods on store sellers recommendations but none were up to the strength and stability for a heavy spotting scope. Harrison were amazing in knowledge. Confidence in them I bought one. Fantastic   (24/05/2019) Carl - Suffolk

A Great Tripod  A bought this Tripod to mount my latest acquisition, a Visionking 30-90x100 Spotting scope, I was surprised that there was not an operating manual with it however, after a bit of trail and error I believe I have it mastered. Smooth operation and a good safe plate locking mechanism. Recommended.   (19/08/2017) Richard H -

Good bit of kit.  Not extensively used yet but back garden testing in windy and very blustery weather showed this tripod to be very stable. It is a beast and I have yet to workout the best way to carry it. Maybe clip on shoulder straps? First class service from Harrison Telescopes, but very poor service from FedEx.   (05/05/2017) John Gray - Shaw, Oldham
Our Reply: We are sorry to hear you had issues with FEDEX, please let us know what happened and we will do our best to resolve future problems, many thanks.

very good  Very sturdy tripod will easily support my 25x100 astronomy binoculars. The only downside is that is doesn't come with a holder bag for carrying it.   (15/01/2017) Daniel - suffolk
