Provides a super stable platform for all the standard EQ5 & HEQ5 mountings including PRO versions, ideal for when the Telescope housed in an observatory. Complete with wheels, which can be disengaged when mount is in use. Designed for use on a reasonably hard, level surface close to where the telescope is normally stored. Quite Sturdy I ordered this as a replacement for the tripod that came with the heq5 mount. The pier arrived promptly and was easy to assemble. It is ideal for heq5/neq6 mounts and they become easy roll out mounts! You can have a set place where you observe and just roll your kit out for quick observing! (28/10/2017) Rafay - manchester
Sturdy and secure We have a Skywatcher HEQ5 mount with a Skywatcher Evostar 120 ED Pro and together with this pillar it is one big step up from the tripod. Very stable and secure yet light to carry. Excellent Solution for Static Observing With a scarcity of affordable pier mounts in the UK this pillar mount makes a very credible alternative. Supplied in a smart white powdercoat finish to match the SkyWatcher livery, the mount is built to withstand a small nuclear explosion! Takes my 102 & 120mm Refractors in tandem no problem.
