The AZ5 Deluxe Alt-Azimuth Mount Head can be fitted to any suitable tripod via a standard 3/8" screw connector. Constructed from cast aluminium and designed to attach small telescopes up to 5kg in weight, fitted with a 45mm Vixen style dovetail bar, or other equipment by using the optional L-bracket (available separately). Supplied with two flexible slow-motion cables, one for vertical and one for horizontal smooth fine motion control. The mount can also be moved manually around each axis, for rapid panning and elevation adjustments so tracking and finding is easy.

Please note - these mounts use the 3/8" thread to attach to tripods so are not compatible with standard telescope tripods.

  Good quality Alt/Az mount for quick grab and go  Wanted a light and good quality grab and go alt/az mount for my Heritage 130P Newt and Coronodo PST. The AZ5 head arrived very quickly, well packed, very reasonable postal charges.
