Home Telescopes SkyWatcher Telescopes SkyWatcher Explorer Telescopes SkyWatcher Explorer 150P EQ3-2 Telescope
The SkyWatcher Explorer 150mm parabolic reflectors are of excellent quality and versatility, ranging in aperture from a respectable 130mm to an incredible light-gulping 300mm aperture, catering for astronomers of all levels. Whether your interest is Deep-Sky, the Moon and Planets, or a combination of both, the EXPLORER range offers excellent all round Diffraction-Limited performance.
SKY-WATCHER DELUXE MIRROR COATINGSMost reflectors today usually have a coat of aluminium as the mirror surface and then an overcoat of silicon monoxide or silicon dioxide to protect it. Silicon dioxide produces a much more durable coat than silicon monoxide but requires specialized equipment to apply it and is therefore more expensive. Protection is needed, because in most reflectors, the mirror is open to the elements and deterioration of the reflective layer reduces the resolution of the telescope. ALL Sky-Watcher reflectors are Multi-Coated with Silicon Dioxide as standard for Optimum Durability and Long Term Performance. All Sky-Watcher f/5 ('fast') Newtonian Reflectors and Dobsonian models feature High Quality Parabolic Primary Mirrors to eliminate spherical aberrations inherent in 'fast' focal length reflectors with spherical primary mirrors. The mirrors are parabolized to bring all the light rays to the same focal point to give sharp, constrasty images, which are full of detail. Excellent This is my first telescope, so Im learning how to use it in my backyard before I cart it off to a dark sky site. Ive had beautiful views of Jupiter with some faint surface detail. Saturn and rings, Pleiades, and now the Moon. Im very pleased I started with this model. (07/09/2019) Paul - Oxfordshire

More than happy. Pardon the pun but I'm over the moon with it. Easy to assemble and use. Bought it for astrophotography and it does the job admirably. Ideal for anyone who's interested in astronomy/astrophotography. I have no hesitation in recommending it. (01/07/2019) -
