Ready to use out of the boxThe collapsible patented FlexTube™ system has been incorporated making it even more convenient to transport and store. The uncomplicated manually operated Dobsonian alt-azimuth mount makes it a superb, highly portable, grab-and-go system. Focusing is achieved with a helical focuser keeping the tube assembly light and compact. The complete telescope & mount comes fully assembled straight out of the box, two eyepieces and a red dot finder are also included. Easy to set up and works well Mount and telescope work well and 6 inches is a very capable aperture and brings lots of Messier objects within reach on dark moonless nights. A light shroud improves things even more. You can transfer the telescope to other mounts and I've found the AZ5 is an especially good pairing. A joy to use. (01/06/2025) -
Well engineered telescope for the money Haven't had much of chance to use this yet as 1) it is a present for Christmas, and 2) it has been far too cloudy! However, having checked it out to see what's included it is well built and neatly designed considering the cost. The service from harrisontelescopes from order to delivery was superb. Great telescope, insanely good service Ordered this on the 23rd of December and it arrived on Christmas eve! Delivered to Scotland within 24hrs on Christmas eve during a pandemic. Fantastic Service, great bit of kit. Firstly, the service was great. Kept in touch throughout, good price and ongoing support. The scope works straight out of the box and is simple enough for my 9 year old (and me) but doesn’t mean it’s inferior. Great company to buy from and great Telescope. I emailed the company on Christmas Day excited to spend Christmas money. Amazingly they responded on boxing day with the answers I needed.
