  Works very well, but could be improved  The illuminator worked well, and made alignment much easier. I agree with other comments about the poor design of the on/off switch though. The simple solution suggested by another reviewer of pushing the battery contact down a bit works though, thanks. Just below the foam pad level works fine.  (28/11/2020) Martin - Sandhurst

  Does the job but read for fix!  It Does the job but not have an on off switch is a pain, to turn it on and off , you have to unscrew the battery case, the led does not go out until the battery has just about fallen out, I fixed it by bending the contact down (almost below the battery case) this does the trick, hope that helps.  (15/11/2020) Keith Roberts - Plymouth

  Handy but could do with an ON/OFF Switch  I bought this for an EQ5 and it clips into the mount securely. The LED is relatively easy to control with the rotating ring on the side and it doesn't need to be all that bright. It could do with an ON/OFF switch as you have to unscrew the battery cover to turn it off.  (18/08/2020) Martin - Scotland

  Good device but not great   It is good for the intended job, but poor design means it does pop out of the mount sometimes so a better base might work well, also the lack of a switch to turn it on and off is missing, instead you have to loosen the battery cover.   Works well, but a poor design  Fits well and works well with my EQ5 Pro GOTO and really does help with PA.However, the design of the unit is sadly lacking a true 'on-off' switch and unless the battery cover is unscrewed by a substantial amount, the LED will draw current.   Splendid very pleased  A great little addition to my EQ3-2 mount set-up.
