An attractive 2-inch, high gloss-finished CNC-machined aluminium design that takes the advantages from the Crayford design of focuser: luxurious smoothness and precise focus transition - and marries them to the traditional strengths of the Rack and Pinion approach: loading capacity and durability. The Revelation SCT Rack n Pinion Focuser has an integral central threaded locking system (engaged by an all-metal knurled locking knob, located on the underside of the focuser) that clamps a central channel that runs between the focusing rack, meaning that there is no compression of the focusing tube or the rack and pinion arrangement itself. This is easily the most secure locking system of its kind we have ever tested - much superior to other friction-based locks. With 30mm of focus travel and an incredibly smooth 1:11 dual speed focusing wheel arrangement, this focuser will be a great addition to any standard Schmidt-Cassegrain or ACF telescope. It will thread on to the rear cell of any suitable instrument (Meade, Celestron and more), in place of a traditional eyepiece holder/visual back and comes with a 2-inch to 1.25-inch step-down adapter with 1.25-inch dust cap) to ensure maximum compatibility with all your eyepieces and accessories and protection against dust, moisture or other ingress when not in use.
