Product Description

The Explorer 130P telescope features a premium quality Parabolic Primary Mirror, normally found in larger, more expensive telescopes, to eliminate spherical aberrations, producing sharper, higher-contrast images which are full of detail. A parabolic or more accurately a "paraboloidal" mirror, is ground to a shape which brings all incoming light rays to a perfect focus, on axis. In addition this model features 0.5mm Ultra-Thin secondary mirror supports, to reduce diffraction spikes and light loss. Supplied ready to use with eyepieces, tripod and mount this quality instrument is practical and offers excellent performance.

"I was most impressed by the views revealed by the 'scope during tests…Despite a phase of nearly 96 percent, the waxing gibbous Moon revealed a seemingly inexhaustible amount of fine detail... Highly recommended!"

Customer Reviews

10/10  Skywatcher explore 130p  First class service, delivered the following day all parts in good condition. Would recommend anyone who needs telescope or telescope accessory to purchase from Harrison's telescopes  (27/05/2024) David watson - Amsbury

10/10  Great value  A very nice telescope for the money. Easy to setup with good, clear instructions and nicely packaged. Build quality is surprisingly good and it's calibrated very well out of the box. Included eye pieces give a good sharp image, although I'd recommend a 2x Barlow to get the most out of the scope.  (27/04/2020) D Walker - UK

10/10  Skywatcher 130P  Great value for money,& Harrisons give efficient service. It was well packed & arrived with the optics perfectly set up & aligned. I recommend buying an extra more powerful eyepiece.   (21/01/2019) Tony Renney - Workington
